In 2023, with the arrival of ChatGPT and generative AI came the necessity to understand how to maximize AI for a more efficient workplace. Kdan Mobile has envisioned this new technology alongside our brand vision to help individuals and businesses from around the world increase productivity and create space for innovation.
This year, our applications have been utilized by scaling businesses and individuals alike, to produce exciting new inventions.
Upward Evolution and Expansion in 2023
Although we hold true to our roots, we simultaneously reach upward to be leaders in the tech space. We are pleased to announce that Finance Times has recognized us as the foremost IT and software company in Taiwan among the prestigious Top 500 High-Growth Asia-Pacific Companies this year. Furthermore, we have achieved a significant milestone by obtaining the ISO 27001 certification for our Information Security Management System.
In October, we launched Kdan Office, our holistic desktop software suite which provides comprehensive and reliable document creation and management solutions. The solution helps professionals globally to save time through increased productivity and meet their workflow goals. In addition to launching Kdan Office, we released a data-driven marketing solution that has been years in the works, “ADNEX.” Leveraging our team’s expertise in data intelligence, ADNEX is Kdan Mobile’s new sector which uses data-driven marketing analysis to help companies scale digitally.
Finally, our global teams have experienced positive momentum in the past 12 months, starting with successfully establishing the Kdan Japan office in Tokyo. Other global offices were established in China, the US, Japan, and South Korea. Participation from our global teams was astounding this year, with each office participating in global expos and conferences, and making a name for themself within their coordinating country.
Making Sustainable Investments in Our Partners’ and Our Planet’s Future
At Kdan Mobile, we have always stood strong in our value of advocating for sustainability, as well as prioritizing diversity, equity, and inclusion within the workplace. In accordance with this, our team made valiant efforts this year to produce collaborative environments to allow our company to expand by being perceived through multiple perspectives.
On International Women’s Day, we invited four global women leaders in tech to share their workplace experiences and diverse perspectives. Each woman shared their unique experience and encouraged women to enter the tech space. During Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, our co-founder & Chief Global Marketing Officer, Wei-Chung Wang, Ph.D., shared insights into cultural differences between Taiwan and the U.S. He elaborated on his story of working in the international tech space as an Asian American. Finally, we held a Kdan Unity Jam, an event formed to facilitate cross-cultural exchanges among team members from South Africa, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Taiwan.
Advocating for sustainability in the workplace has always been a company value of ours. Our document workflow solutions like DottedSign have helped businesses and individuals reduce paper waste, saving over 2.5 million paper documents and counting.
During the past year, we also published a Workplace Sustainability eBook, which shared how business partners could utilize our digital solutions, DottedSign and PDF Reader, to accelerate workflow and save paper waste in their businesses.
In addition to educating our consumers on sustainability, our team took environmental matters into their own hands, literally. Collaborating with One Tree Planted, we supported an initiative that planted one tree per each Kdan software package sold. Over 1,000 new trees were planted in California as a result of this initiative, helping to combat deforestation globally.
Staying at the Forefront of Engineering and Development
From the start, we have been committed to providing best-in-class software solutions on an international level and exporting our trusted technology to tech partners. To celebrate our innovations over the years and spotlight new developments, we hosted our first Kdan Developer Day in September, featuring speeches from industry leaders on their technical expertise, and insights from our in-house development team.
Aside from our participation in various tech events, our team actively engages in recruiting talent from the software field. We additionally launched the Digital Sustainable Seed Project and the first Kdan ESG Hackathon, in efforts to motivate global talent to become involved in software development.
Forging a New Chapter for Tech Innovators
As 2024 approaches, Kdan Mobile is well-prepared for our next chapter. We have designed solutions for document management, e-signature workflow, and data-driven marketing that could benefit businesses and enterprises.
