The New-and-Improved Markup Helped Plan Our Thailand Trip

Markup

Markup, one of the apps in our Creativity 365 series, just got a new update available for download now–and just in time to help the Kdan Team celebrate a successful 2018 with our end-of-the-year trip to Thailand!

This December, the entire Kdan Team–which includes members from the U.S., China, and Taiwan–wrapped up 2018 by taking a trip to Thailand and giving workers from different countries a chance to bond. Markup’s new features, many of which are centered on helping teams work together, make it the perfect knowledge management platform and an excellent tool for organizing the trip and keeping everyone connected.

Keep Rolling with the Great Team

“Markup has historically focused on document management, but we decided that our application can serve teams better if we focus on the idea of collaboration,” explained our CEO, Kenny Su. “So we added new features like a shared folder, the ability to create teams within the app, and more.”

Users start by creating a team within the application, and then have the option to share folders, pictures, web clippings and more! For the Kdan Team, this meant creating a convenient location to store our trip itinerary and share photos from the different stops throughout our Thailand trip.

For teams of students or professionals, this means there’s a convenient location within the app to gather, share, and analyze information while working on a project.

Also available within a Markup Team, is the ability to record and monitor the progress of projects the team is working on.

A Smarter Way to Organize Your Team’s Reading Material

Whether you’re gathering research for a class project, building a knowledge base prior to approaching a potential client, or sharing information on some of the sites you’ll see while traveling to Thailand, the ability to automatically organize the content your team gathers is a huge time-saver! And that’s exactly what our developers had in mind when they added Kdan’s new artificial intelligence to Markup.

“Perhaps the most exciting new feature is the incorporation of cutting-edge AI technology,” said Chun-Chin Su, our VP of innovation and design. “The AI lets users classify their own (or others’) web markup articles with different tags, and automatically sorts them by their reader’s preferences, making Markup an excellent knowledge management platform.”

Markup took the different content that our team shared about different destinations for our Thailand trip and automatically sorted the most interesting articles to the top of our reading list, creating a tailored reading community.
